With a flavour profile of sweet fruit with an almost wine-like dimension, a rich body, deeply aromatic and with a complex earthy finish, this is a very highly regarded coffee and very well worth trying £9.95/500g
Ethiopia is thought by many to be place coffee was first discovered!
Legend has it a goat herder noticed one of his herd behaving in a much more high-spirited way than usual, then noticed it was munching bright red 'berries' and, presumably, thought he'd try some of what the goat had had, to be treated to the same pleasant effects!
The bright red berries were actually fully ripe bright red coffee cherries and this is believed was the first person to consume Coffeea Arabica and has been farmed in the Djimmah region since. Mocha, by the way, is the name of the Yemeni port through which this regions coffee was shipped abroad between the 15th and 18th century.
This superb coffee is grown in the ideal growing conditions at between 1300 and 1800 meters above sea level and is dry processed - also known as unwashed or natural coffee. AVAILABILITY: IN STOCK
